Environment and economy hand in hand!

Recycling scrap and returning the raw materials to the cycle is not enough for us. Although our core business appears “dirty”, we see ourselves as a model company when it comes to the environment and sustainability – how “green” scrap, but also a company in general, can be.

This is what we do

for the future:

We are the only scrap company in Austria to operate its own wastewater treatment plant, in which the surface water is treated.

The entire surface of the company premises is paved to ensure groundwater protection.

It goes without saying that we use an oil separator so that the used oil can be disposed of correctly and the environment can be relieved.

Our containers are constantly checked for leaks and repaired or replaced if necessary.

With our subsidiary G&S Metallwerk, we ensure the complete processing of the scrap – thus no resources are lost.

Emulsion-containing materials are stored in a separate chip hall. The special floor construction enables the emulsions to be collected (in a 30,000-liter tank) and then disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

The separation of office and household waste in our company is a must for us and our employees!

But that’s not all: we have just started planning a photovoltaic system. We want to continue to set an example in the industry and for companies!

Collecting and recycling scrap and old metal is not only sensible, but also creates value for generations.

Mining ores and producing metals from them is a complex process. Large machines, long transportation routes, countless hours of work and, above all, lots and lots of energy are required to turn the raw material into a finished product.

However, if scrap metal is fed into the secondary cycle, energy savings of up to 90 % can be achieved.
